Phoenix, Arizona Henry H. Roenigk Jr., M.D. attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, graduating in 1960. From 1960 – 1963 he served in the U.S. Army at Tripler General Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, and as Head of the Out-Patient Department at Schofield Barracks Army Dispensary. After leaving the Army, Dr. Roenigk served his Residency in Dermatology at Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 1963 – 1966. In 1966, he served on staff in the Department of Dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic, as Head of the Department of Dermatology from 1968 – 1977, and as Professor of Dermatology from 1971 to 1977. He was also Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine from 1970 – 1977, Walter J. Hamlin Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Northwestern University Medical School from 1977 – 1992, Chairman of Dermatology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital 1977 – 1992, Professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University Medical School from 1992 – 1998, and has been in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona from July 1998 to present.
Dr. Roenigk is a Member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Dermatological Association, American Federation of Clinical Research, Central States Dermatologic Society, Chicago Dermatologic Society as President-Elect from 1995 – 1996 and President from 1996 – 1997, Illinois Dermatologic Society, and National Program for Dermatology. He was on the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Dermatologic Society from 1969 – 1972, Ohio State Dermatologic Society, Alpha Omega Alpha, Dermatological Therapy Association Board of Directors from 1974 – 1976, Noah Worcester Dermatological Association Board of Directors from 1973 – 1976 and as President in 1978, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Board of Directors from 1976 – 1979 and as Vice-President and then President from 1980 – 1983, and the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery Board of Directors from 1983 – present and as Vice-President and then President from 1986 – 1990.
Dr. Roenigk also belongs to the Dermatology Foundation – Leader’s Society, is a Fellow of American College of Physicians, Society for Investigative Dermatology, an Honorary Member of the French Society of Dermatology, Polish Dermatology Association, Italian Society of Dermatology, Greek Society of Dermatology, Spanish Dermatologic Association, Chilean Dermatologic Society, and Brasil Dermatologic Society, Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and National Board of Medical Examiners, and Chairman and CEO of the Skin Disease Education Foundation in Chicago, Illinois.
