Los Angeles, California Derek H. Jones, M.D. is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology at U.C.L.A and an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He completed his Dermatology Residency at Columbia University in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident for two consecutive terms. He received his Medical Degree and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Tufts University.
Dr. Jones has spoken widely and has been a featured medical expert on several local and national television networks, including NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, and Lifetime Television. He has authored many scientific publications on General and Cosmetic Dermatology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Jones’ areas of expertise include General and Cosmetic Dermatology, Botox, Collagen, and Laser Surgery. He has completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatology and has trained with internationally recognized leaders in areas of Skin Resurfacing, Laser Therapy, Botox Therapy, and Soft Tissue Augmentation (Collagen, etc). Much of Dr. Jones’ current academic research involves investigating new forms of soft tissue augmentation.
