Diamond Bar, California Dr. Fortunata Mendoza was born in Manila, Philippines. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree of Doctor of Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. After a year of Rotating Internship in Medicine and Surgery, she went to Atlanta, Georgia. At the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, she did one year of straight Medicine Internship. This was followed by three years of Residency in the specialty of Dermatology. In 1980 she became a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Mendoza became an Instructor in Dermatology and then an Assistant Professor in Dermatology in Dermatology at the Emory University School of Medicine and the Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She then moved to Arkansas where she was an Assistant Professor in Dermatology at the University of Arkansas Medical Services Center in Little Rock and a full-time staff physician and Chief of Dermatology Services at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has published various scientific papers and has given many Dermatological lectures in the United States and abroad.
In 1984 she moved to Los Angeles, California where she now has a private solo Dermatology practice in Diamond Bar, California.
