After finishing her medical school education at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Betty Bellman completed her Internal Medicine Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She went on to her Fellowship training in Dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, and then completed two more years of Residency at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery where she now holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor. From 1995 to early 1999, she was the full-time associate of Dr. Fredric S. Brandt in Coral Gables, Florida. She is now in solo practice at Mount Sinai Medical Center in the Medical Staff Pavilion.

Dr. Bellman has published more than 40 articles in the dermatologic literature and has given numerous interviews and lectures. She is well known for her thorough skin cancer and mole screenings and specializes in general Dermatology, cosmetic dermatologic surgery and cosmetic Dermatology. Her cosmetic Dermatology interests include Botox, collagen, sclerotherapy, cutaneous laser surgery, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Dr. Bellman’s particular area of expertise is the study of vulvar diseases, including lichen sclerosis, lichen planus, vulvodynia and vulvar vestibulitis.
