His areas of expertise and interest are skin cancer surgery including flaps and grafts utilizing surgical techniques that minimize excess removal of normal tissue, diseases of the hair and nails as well as all general dermatological skin diseases. Dr. Heller also removes spider veins from the legs utilizing injectable solutions such as hypertonic saline or Sotradecol as well as treatment of pigmentation disorder by chemical peeling with glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, Jessner’s solution as well as Trichloracetic acid and treatment of minor acne scarring by any of the above mentioned chemical peels or micro dermabrasion. Dr. Heller also performs radiosurgical removal of benign moles, that is a nontraumatic, no stitch mole removal utilizing radiofrequency waves. Dr. Heller also supplies a complete rejuvenation skin care line for acne, for darkening of the skin, as well as lines and wrinkles of the face. Dr. Heller stresses the importance of preventative skin care such as sunscreens and sunblocks as well as yearly skin examinations to catch skin cancer early such as malignant melanoma.
