Dr. Steven D. Shapiro, M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who specializes in multiple laser procedures, reconstructive skin cancer surgery and the latest advancements in cosmetic and dermatologic procedures. Dr. Shapiro is the director of Gardens Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery Center located in the heart of Palm Beach Gardens in South Florida. Dr. Shapiro’s expertise and renowned reputation in Dermatology is reported in multiple local news and media sources. Dr. Shapiro is a medical reporter for Health Check Second Opinion and an expert commentator for various television stations. Dr. Shapiro received his degree in medicine from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School. His internship was completed at Hahnemann University followed by his residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine where he currently is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. Dr. Shapiro directs several clinical studies and has lectured at National and International Conferences, including the 14th Annual Joint Conference of Plastic Surgery for China and Japan and the Mediteranean Dermatology. His lecture topics have included “N-Lite Laser Wrinkle Reduction,” “Improving Results of Surgical Scars,” and “Skin Resurfacing With Erbium and CO2 Lasers.” Dr. Shapiro is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow member of the Academy of Dermatology. He is an active member of the American Society of Mohs SUrgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Dermatology and the Florida Society of Dermatology.
