Idaho Falls, Idaho Dr. James R.B. Willis received his Medical Degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1987. He finished a transitional Internship from Marshfield Clinic at University of Wisconsin in 1988, and became a General Medical Officer for the United States Navy in Idaho Falls, Idaho from 1988 – 1992. After Dr. Willis completed his active duty with the Navy, he attended Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania to finish his Residency training in Dermatology, graduating in 1995. He went on to receive training as a Fellow in Mohs Micrographic Surgery the following year.
Dr. Willis is the author of several presentations including: Of Mites and Men, a CME Conference – Advances in Dermatology in Danville, Pennsylvania 1993; Neurofibromatosis, Xanthomatosis and Leukemia in an Infant at the Gross and Microscopic Symposium at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in 1993; The Fungus Among Us, CME Conference in Danville, Pennsylvania in 1994; Cutaneous Nodules as the First Sign of Crohn Disease, AAD Annual Meeting Gross and Microscopic Symposium in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1995; and Mountain or Mole Hill? Evaluating Melanocytic Nevi at CME Conference in Danville, Pennsylvania April, 1995.
Dr. Willis is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. He received the Navy Commendation Medal in November, 1990 and the Gold Star Navy Commendation Medal in May, 1992. Dr. Willis also was a missionary in northwest Argentina from September, 1977 – September, 1979. His personal interests include camping, hiking, natural science, photography, music and ethics. Dr. Willis is married and has seven children.
