Dr. Mark J. Zalla is certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, a fellow and former member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, and a past President of the Southwestern Dermatological Society. Dr. Zalla is a volunteer associate professor in dermatology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and is on staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and St. Luke Hospitals.

Dr. Zalla is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and interned in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a three-year residency in dermatology and a fellowship in Dermatologic and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, with an emphasis on treatment of skin cancer, as well as laser and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Zalla then spent seven years in the Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he established and directed the division of dermatologic surgery. Author of multiple papers and frequent speaker at national meetings, he is a six-time recipient of the Best Doctors in America Award.
