He received his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Sandler completed (2) years of training in Internal Medicine, followed by a (3) year residency in Dermatology.
Dr. Sandler served (4) years with the U.S. Army, where he was Chief of Dermatology, Ft. Benning, Georgia. While in the military, he received specialized training in skin cancer surgery(Mohs micrographic surgery) and facial-plastic procedures. His areas of expertise in cosmetic surgery include tumescent liposuction, facial rejuvenation, eyelid surgery, chemical peels, and laser procedures.
Dr. Sandler has lectured both in the field of dermatology and cosmetic surgery and is a Clinical Instructor at Wayne State University’s Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Sandler is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and American Society for Mohs Surgery.
