Dr. Pham brings a broad background to dermatology. He served in the US Army as a family physician, a medical officer, and an occupational health physician. He speaks English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. He was brought up in Michigan where he earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Mich State Univ, and a Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State Univ. He did his training in family medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honululu, and served as officer-in-charge of the Rock Island Arsenal US Army Health Clinic, IL. His academic achievements included nomination to the honor society of veterinary medicine, Phi Zeta, and the honor society of medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha. He published articles on zoonotic diseases and peanut allergy. He attained fellow status in the American Society for Mohs Surgery in 2002. He has given a lecture on surgery technique to the joint ASMS and Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. His interests include skin cancer screening and surgery, laser treatment of birthmarks and skin blemishes, pediatric dermatology and occupation dermatology. He believes in improving the quality of medicine by focusing on prevention and education. He is committed to serving the poor and the community.
