Cape Girardeau, Missouri Dr. Moon provides general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology to all age groups. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Moon completed his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, graduating Magna cum Laude. He then joined the United States Army as a medical officer and completed his internship and dermatology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, Texas. Thereafter, he served as the dermatologist for Ft. Knox, Kentucky and deployed to Iraq where he served as a flight surgeon for one year. After 9 years of active duty medical service with the Army, Dr. Moon left the service to join Associates in Dermatology where he practiced for one year. During this time in private practice, he served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Louisville. He opened Advanced Dermatology of Southeast Missouri in the fall of 2009, providing comprehensive dermatology care to Cape Girardeau, Missouri and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Moon is a board certified dermatologist and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society, the Association of Military Dermatologists, the Kentucky Dermatological Association, the Greater Louisville Medical Association, and the National Psoriasis Foundation.
