Dr. Ruth E. Adams attended Ohio State University School of Medicine, receiving her M.D. degree in 1987. She then completed a Pediatric internship at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana in 1988. From 1988 – 1991, Dr. Adams served in the United States Air Force as a Captain, General Medical Officer, Flight Medical Officer, and Emergency Room Physician. A Dermatology residency followed at Wilford Hall United States Air Force Medical Center at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, 1994. From 1994 – 1996, Dr. Adams received the title of Major in the USAF Medical Corps, and Assistant Chief of Dermatology at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. She also carried the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine through the Department of Dermatology at Wright State University School of Medicine from 1994 – 1996. Dr. Adams went to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan from 1996 – 1998, acting as Senior Staff Physician/Teaching Staff.
Dr. Adams belongs to several professional organizations including: Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Associate of American Society of Mohs Surgery, Member of American Medical Association, Nevada State Medical Society, and Carson Douglas Medical Association. She is Board certified with the American Board of Dermatology.
