Nashua, New Hampshire Dr. Khalil Khatri graduated from Sind Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1983. He had a post-doctoral Research Fellowship in Immunogenetics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Khatri’s first residency in Internal Medicine was at Carney Hospital/Boston University in 1992; he completed his Dermatology residency in 1995 at University of California, Davis. He finished a Clinical and Research Fellowship in cosmetic skin laser surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in 1997. It was during this fellowship that Dr. Khatri studied the effects of lasers on human skin, focusing primarily on the use of lasers for cosmetic procedures. He performed initial studies comparing the C02 and Erbium:YAG lasers in skin resurfacing.
Dr. Khatri has a private practice of dermatology and laser surgery. He treats general dermatology conditions, performs skin cancer surgery and deals with various cosmetic skin problems. Services provided at his clinic include Sclerotherapy, collagen injections, Botox injections, chemical peels, and the laser treatment of wrinkles, unwanted hair, leg veins, tattoos, birthmarks, and scars.
Dr. Khatri is actively involved in laser research and is currently works with scientists, laser labs, and laser companies to develop new laser technologies. He is internationally known for his pioneering work with Erbium:YAG laser for resurfacing. He has directed laser-training courses for physicians throughout the world. Dr. Khatri has published many articles in peer reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Khatri is a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the Royal Society of Medicine, England. He is a founding member of the International Academy of Laser Medicine and Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery and the Optical Society of America.
