Dr. Echt graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University in 1985. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology, she earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1990. After medical school, Dr. Echt completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan; followed by a three-year Dermatology Residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center.
After serving two years as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology in New York City, Dr. Echt began her Dermatology private practice in Manhattan. Most recently, Dr. Echt completed a two year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic and Cosmetic Surgery in Columbus, Ohio. After all of her extensive training, research, and publications, she has decided to start her own Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery practice in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dr. Echt has authored more than 25 published articles and textbook chapters on Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery. Further, she is a board-certified dermatologist and is an active participant in local community health programs, volunteering her time and professional services. She is known for her caring manner, surgical expertise, and overall professionalism.
