Dr. Brett Coldiron returned to Cincinnati after completing his Mohs Fellowship in July of 1989, as Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Otolaryngology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center from 1989 – 1992. He is presently a Clinical Assistant Professorship at the University of Cincinnati, as well as the University of Illinois at Chicago. He currently takes care of patients, teaches medical students and residents, and has several active clinical research projects.
Dr. Coldiron is the founder of the Skin Cancer Center. It is the only facility in Cincinnati dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. It contains the only Ultraviolet B monitoring station in the Tri-State area.
Dr. Coldiron is the author of over 41 scientific publications, including 7 book chapters, and continues to present numerous papers at national and international meetings. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Ohio State Medical Association as Delegate, the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, the Ohio and Kentucky State Medical Associations, the Cincinnati Dermatology Society as Trustee, the Northern Kentucky Medical Association, the Ohio Dermatology Society as President-elect, the Ohio Dermatologic Surgery Society as Trustee, the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons, and the Noah Worcester Society.
