Salt Lake City, Utah Dr. Taylor is a world renowned specialist in the field of cutaneous laser and intense pulsed light applications and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah prior to attending the University Utah College of Medicine. He received his residency training in dermatology from the University of Oregon from 1975 through 1978 with board certification in dermatology in 1978.
Dr. Taylor has worked with all of the world’s major laser manufacturers to research new applications for the use of lasers in treating common skin problems including birthmarks, scars, tattoos, pigmented lesions, wrinkles and other special skin problems, hair removal, stretch marks, spider veins, vascular lesions, and other applications. Dr. Taylor was the first doctor in the world to use the HGM Krypton laser for treating skin problems. He also did original research on the Intense pulsed light systems manufactured by ESC Medical. Dr. Taylor has also taught training courses for Pfizer Laser, Coherent Medical Group, Con BioMedical, ESC Medical, HGM Inc. Fraxel, Palomar, Cynosure, Lutronics, General Project,Candela, Lumenis, Thermage, Solta and many locations around the world. He has given presentations at international conventions on the use of Lasers and intense pulsed light for the treatment of difficult skin problems.
Dr. Taylor is a family man and father of eight children. He is an avid golfer, skier, fly fisherman, and back packer and enjoys many other outdoor sports on a casual basis. He is actively involved in church and community affairs and served a two year mission for his church in Austria when he was 19 years old.
Dr. Taylor currently owns and manages the Gateway Aesthetic Institute and Laser Center in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City overlooking historic temple square. He has a beautiful facility and busy practice with patients seeking his care from all over the world. He limits his practice to laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology and treatment of difficult specialty skin problems.
