Mooney, M.D. graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota and she did her Dermatology residency at New Jersey Medical School. She spent her first year of private practice in southern New Jersey and then moved outside Philadelphia to work with a cosmetic dermatologist where she acquired experience in liposuction, ambulatory phlebectomy, sclerotherapy, soft tissue augmentation, laser surgery, botox, chemical peels and other procedures. Dr. Mooney then completed a dermatopathology fellowship at her alma mater, New Jersey Medical School. Finally, she completed a Moh’s surgery/cutaneous fellowship at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Mooney is Board Certified in dermatology and dermatopathology and is a member of the American College of Mohs’ Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. Her main interests are skin cancer and Moh’s surgery.
